Daniel Isidoro, 31, faces 10 additional charges related to possession of child sexual abuse material, according to 2 News.

Detectives with the Regional Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit identified more than 1,000 suspected images and videos during an ongoing investigation tied to Isidoro's Sept. 29 arrest in Sparks.

The 10 new counts are each based on a separate video allegedly depicting a child younger than 5 being sexually assaulted by adults, the HEAT Unit said. Each count is for possession of a visual presentation depicting the sexual conduct of a person younger than 16, News 4 reported.

The charged files represent only a portion of the suspected material under review.

Isidoro was initially arrested Sept. 29 during a HEAT victim-recovery operation in Sparks. That operation began after Riverside, California, human trafficking detectives alerted HEAT that a 14-year-old runaway from a group home might be in the Reno area. Investigators confirmed the girl was a commercially sexually exploited child who had been trafficked by multiple people in the past, according to KOLO.

Detectives identified Isidoro as a semi-truck driver and conducted a traffic stop near Pyramid Way and Tierra Del Sol Parkway in Sparks. The 14-year-old was recovered during that stop.

In the original case, Isidoro was charged with first-degree kidnapping, statutory sexual seduction and child abuse by sexual exploitation. During a police interview, he admitted to having sexual intercourse with the juvenile, according to KOLO.

The HEAT Unit is a regional task force that includes detectives from the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department, Washoe County Sheriff's Office and Washoe County School Police Department. HEAT detectives are continuing to investigate and determine whether additional victims or offenses are involved.

No response from Isidoro or a defense attorney appears in public records as of publication.
