Washoe County School District (WCSD) is hosting a walk-in hiring event Nov. 7 at Procter R. Hug High School from 9 a.m. to noon.
The district announced the event on X on Nov. 4, inviting anyone interested in "a rewarding career supporting students and schools in Washoe County" to attend and explore open positions.
The post did not specify which roles would be represented. Across the district, WCSD's job opportunities page lists openings in three categories: certified positions such as teachers, counselors and school nurses; education support professionals including support and clerical staff; and administrative roles.
The district's careers page lists immediate hiring needs for general education and special education teachers. That page also describes benefits available on the first day of employment and an Alternative Route to Licensure program for people interested in teaching who may not yet hold a full license.
Job seekers who cannot attend the Nov. 7 event can visit the district's walk-in application assistance center at 425 E. Ninth St., Building A, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
